Principle
This website works without cookies and without embedding external services. Fonts and all other resources are loaded from MHD's own server; no data is transferred to Google or other third parties. For web analytics we use Matomo on our own server, without cookies and with a truncated IP address (see below).
Web analytics with Matomo
We use the open-source software Matomo, which runs on our own server. No cookies are set and no data is transferred to third parties. The data collected comprises the page visited, date and time, the referring page, browser and device type, and the IP address, which is truncated by its last two bytes before storage so that it cannot be traced back to you. Your browser's Do Not Track setting is respected. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and in improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can object to data collection here:
Hosting and server log files
The website is operated by a hosting provider based in Germany. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser identifier) in log files to ensure the delivery, stability and security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted automatically according to the hosting provider's retention periods.
Project enquiry and email contact
If you use the enquiry form or contact us by email, the details you submit (request type, project description, name, company, email address, telephone number) are processed solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For resilience, enquiries are additionally stored in an access-protected log file on the server. No data is passed on to third parties without your consent. On request, we communicate OpenPGP-encrypted.
Retention period
Enquiry data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations (for example from a subsequent business relationship) stand in the way.
